Correcting a Unique Idea’s Flawed Approach

A student from Rollakal School who enjoys nature and Science came across an interesting scenario on the way home from school one day. He saw a woman shepherd taking her flock of sheep for feeding. What surprised him was that she had covered their mouths with plastic bottles to prvent them from eating plants in the fields.

He said, “I was shocked when I saw them but also appreciated her effort to save the fields. I explained the disadvantages of plastic, how it adversely impacts the environment and suggested that she use creeper vines to cover their mouths.” She understood the message and also promised to spread this information to other shepherds in her village. We are happy that our students use the knowledge learnt in school to spread awareness in their local communities.
